Thank you so much for your comment. It is amazing that asbestos is still
such a widespread problem and hazard, not just in the U.S. but around
the world. I think there's a perception that asbestos is a thing of the
past, but it is still lurking in so many places - sometimes hidden, and
sometimes right out in the open, like the roofs you describe. I
appreciate your feedback on this important topic.

We have the same problem in our country. Many real estate developer in our country use asbestos material on roof top because it's cheap. There are reports from people who live in certain area, sometimes they have trouble breathing,especially during a hot day.

Even today, in India, millions of people live under asbestos, not aware of ill effects of asbestos. The poverty, cheap prices of asbestos drives them to have their house covered with asbestos roofs. The Government and human self-groups should come forward to educate these people about asbestos and it's side-effects. Nice informative blog, thanks.
